Why this work exists
Engine Wirecore began after repeated conversations with families who had planned visas, jobs and removals carefully but discovered too late that a German address could shape school registration, Kita waiting periods could overlap with a work start, and familiar school labels did not translate neatly.
We help families understand the local sequence without pretending uncertainty can be removed. Germany’s sixteen states set important parts of education policy, municipalities administer processes differently, and individual schools and childcare providers make their own decisions.
Who sits across the table
Our small Munich-based advisory practice brings experience in international family support, education research and cross-border relocation. Every family brief is handled by a named adviser. When a question belongs with a Schulamt, Jugendamt, school, Kita provider, immigration adviser or specialist educator, we say so and help you phrase the right enquiry.
We do not accept referral commissions from schools or childcare providers. Recommendations are based on the family brief and publicly available or directly confirmed information, not placement fees.
How we work
Specific before sweeping. A six-year-old entering Bavaria in October has a different set of decisions from a toddler needing care in Berlin the following spring.
Plain about limits. We explain likely routes but never guarantee admission, entitlement outcomes or available places.
Respectful of the child. The move calendar matters, but so do language, continuity, confidence, commute and the child’s experience of change.
Useful after the call. Written actions name who to contact, what to ask and which decisions depend on another step.
