Information we process
When you enquire, we receive your name, email address, selected service and the relocation details you choose to include. During an engagement we may process destination, timing, children’s ages, school stage, language context, invoices, correspondence and consultation notes. Please do not send passports, health records or other sensitive documents unless we have explained a lawful and necessary reason and secure method.
Technical hosting logs may contain IP address, browser details, requested page and time. Cookie preferences are stored in your browser. See our cookie notice.
Purposes and legal bases
We process enquiries and deliver consultations to take steps at your request and perform a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); issue and retain accounting records to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)); protect website security and manage ordinary business correspondence in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); and use optional analytics only with consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Consent can be withdrawn for future processing.
Recipients and international transfers
Data is shared only as needed with hosting, email, secure document and accounting providers acting under appropriate terms, and with authorities where law requires. We do not sell personal data. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use an adequacy decision or approved safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses and assess supplementary measures where required.
Retention
Unsuccessful enquiries are generally deleted after twelve months. Client correspondence and working notes are retained for up to three years after the engagement to address follow-up or legal claims. Invoices and tax records are retained for the period required by German law, commonly up to ten years. Security logs are normally retained for no more than 30 days unless an incident requires longer investigation.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority. We may request reasonable identity verification and will respond within the statutory period.
Children’s data and updates
Our services are contracted by adults. We collect only limited child context needed for planning and do not invite children to contact us directly. This notice may be updated when our practices or legal duties change; the current version will remain on this page.
